Red sedimentary cliffs carved by continuous erosion rise from the beaches to the east. The dramatic 12 metre tides produce very large sand and mud flats at low tide.

The mud is the BEST part! Live a little.

This beach has some beautiful views, but my family and I had an awful time with the mud. We arrived while the tide was out, and the walk to the water was extremely muddy and gross. We had to take our shoes off because they kept getting stuck in the mud. While returning to our car one of my legs fell into some crazy sinkhole, and I had a tricky time getting out of it - it made for some funny pictures though. I will try this beach again when the tide is in. Maybe it would be more fun then.
